Phuket is second to other provinces in term of cuisine and desserts and has its own style of preparation and cooking. Some of interesting local dishes include:-

Khanom Chin Phuket , a version of noodles taken at breakfast, usually served with a spicy curry sauce and fresh vegetables.

Nam Phrik Kung Siap is a mixture of dried chili and smoked shrimps taken with various fresh vegetables.

Fried or Boiled Noodle Dishes , usually with pork or chicken, are available at many noodle shops in the town such as Mi Ton Pho, Mi Sapam, Mi Ao Ke, Mi Hun Pa Chang, and etc.

Cashew nuts and pineapples are widely grown in Phuket and available all year round. The nuts are available dried, fried or coated. Phuket pineapples are some of the most delectable, sweet and firm.

Besides local foods, Phuket also offers unique souvenirs available at souvenir shops. They range from pearls, pewterware, lacquer ware, rattanware, and Batik style fabric. Souvenir shops can be found on Ratsada Road, Phang-nga Road, Montri Road, and Chao Fa Road. Various beaches also offer souvenir shops including Hat Rawai, Laem Phromthep, Hat Kata, Hat Karon, Hat Patong, and Hat Surin.
