Bangkok Golf Club
This dynamic course in the northern suburbs is easily reached
via fast motorway. This par-72, 6,559-yard course offers an
interesting challenge because of its many water hazards. In
particular the elevated island green next to a waterfall on
the par-5 eighth is a daunting shot, while the 18th around the
take is a testing finishing hole.
A superbly appointed clubhouse with many restaurants is an excellent
spot to wind up the round. However, keen golfers may wish to
tackle the International Par 3, a 9-hole course copying the
best par-3s in the world, designed by Phil Ryan. Great to be
able to say you tackled the island hole at Pebble Beach or the
postage stamp at Royal Train. |
Subhapruek Country Club
This typically difficult Dye Design course is about 30 minutes
from tire city centre on the road to Pattaya. At par-72 and
7,010 yards, tong boatels need to beware as water that comes
into play almost every note, while the tricky par threes are
not as easy as they look. Nevertheless the beautifully manicured
layout with palms trees everywhere make playing here a pleasure.
And the large luxurious clubhouse makes for a very pleasant
end to your round. |
Pinehurst Golf & Country Club
Every inch a country club, Pinehurst was designed by Porticos
Aihara to be a championship course, located 15 minutes north
of the airport. Not surprisingly, it played last to the first
do honnie Walker Classic, with many European pros making theirs
debut in Thailand. The three nines- Meadow, The Lake and Forestprovide
their own challenges, reminis cent of US courses with tats of
wate and undulating fairways. A glorious clubhouse with attached
hotel is great draw for keen golfers. |

Central Region
is a land of civilization originating from the pre-historic
era and had been developing continuously till Ayutthaya and
Ratanakosin periods. Besides being the country's most fertile
land on rice growing, the central region is also famous for
its tourist attraction places which are lied prominently on
natural resources and the historic ancient remains. The prior
mentioned is thick forests, high falls, caves and sea beaches,
while the later is ancient ruin temples or palaces, historical
