As we approach the new Millenium all four of Thailand's airlines - Thai Airways International, Bangkok Airways, Angel Airlines and PB Air confirm that they have all tested all aspects of their operations and are millenium bug free. So anyone planning to fly to Thailand for New Years Celebrations can do so with the confidence that at least the planes of these carriers will not be falling out of the sky at stroke of midnight 31 December 1999.

New Routes
In November with the start of the Winter schedule several new travel destinations will be accessible.

• Bangkok Airways will launch their service Krabi to Samui round trip, Sukhothai to Siem Reap (Angkor Wat), Siem Reap to Phuket and Sukhothai to Laung Prabang (Laos).
• Thai Airways start flying four days a week Bangkok to Danang (Hue) in Vietnam.
• PB Air using the Fokker 28 recently acquired from SAS are launching Bangkok to Roi-Et, the new gateway to Northeast Thailand (Isan), and Bangkok to Khon Kaen and Chiang Mai. Their flight code is also changing to 9Q as granted by IATA.
